Study nook makeover

When we built our new house, one thing I really wanted in the design was a study nook area off the kitchen. Because the space is so open-plan, it had to look pretty as well as provide functional storage for paperwork.

I stencilled the wall, added floating shelves, DIYed some prints, spray-painted accessories and made some industrial wire mail-sorting baskets from a set of $5 cleaning caddies. I was really happy with the light and airy result. You can read details about the makeover here and find the post about how I made the mail baskets here. Thanks for letting me share!

Karen that looks beautiful!! If you have a chance can you check out my post re: spindles. I am trying to turn a visible breakfast nook into our office area and would love ideas!? We have a big window and a half wall with spindles. Therefore only one whole wall for organization. I'd live to figure how to hide our big printer that is currently sitting on top of a filing cabinet! Ugh!

    Thank you, ladies!

Legallylendy, I checked out your post and added a comment. Hope it's helpful!
  • Soooo, my initial is K. This was designed for me right? Please transport it to my house immediately. ;)

LOL, Kristen - love it! :) You too need a monogram "k" in your life! Then we can be study sisters. ;)
